Antonio Conte has admitted he hopes Tottenham will listen to his suggestions regarding potential ins and outs.

Conte admitted after Tottenham’s spectacular comeback against Leicester City on Wednesday that the club needed to make new signings this month if they wanted to “fight for something important” (Football.London).

However, with just over a week until the transfer window closes, Spurs are yet to bring any new players through the door.

According to reports, Adama Traore is set to be the first player to arrive at the North London club in the coming days, with the Tottenham boss reportedly wanting to convert the speedy winger to a right-back (Football Insider).

Besides a right-back, the club would target a central midfielder and a striker (The Telegraph).

Spurs are also expected to move on Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli before the window closes (Daily mail).

However, Conte has decided to keep his cards close to his chest regarding Tottenham’s transfer plans this month.

Asked about Ndombele’s potential departure, the 52-year-old said Football.London: “Honestly, I always prefer to discuss this subject with the club.

“Of course I made assessments on the team but I spoke with the club and I hope the club will listen to me.”

Boosts web opinion

One might expect a flurry of activity in the final week of the transfer window, given that the likes of Alasdair Gold revealed the club were confident of making at least two new signings.

The arrival of Traoré and the departure of Ndombele seem quite certain. I also expect Dele to leave and Spurs to bring in an attacking midfielder. It remains to be seen whether or not we could sign a striker (or centre-back) before the window closes.
