LOU Boys & Girls Club Hosts Virtual Launch Celebration – The Oxford Eagle

Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Mississippi will kick off their 2022 annual giving campaign virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live on Tuesday, March 8. Last year, the campaign raised more than $237,000 for the five northern Mississippi clubs located in Lee, Tippah, Union and Lafayette counties.

Typically, the campaign is announced at the annual Youth Champions Luncheon and local receptions that recognize the organization’s top supporters. Now, for the second year, these recognitions will take place via a Zoom event and will include Club highlights and the announcement of the 2022 campaign.

The annual campaign gives Boys and Girls Clubs across northern Mississippi the opportunity to bring together the five communities they serve. Programs offered through generous donations keep members engaged and develop a strong sense of belonging.

The community can view the celebration by connecting to the organization’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/bgcnms at 9 a.m. or 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.

“The annual campaign is important in order to be able to serve the young people of our five clubs,” said Zell Long, general manager of BGCNMS. “The target of $225,000 represents about 21% of the total budget. Our generous donors continue to help change the lives of Club members. We can’t thank you enough.

It is the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Serving northern Mississippi since 1996, the organization reaches more than 2,000 young people each year at clubs in Tupelo, Oxford, Ripley and New Albany. For more information on Boys and Girls Clubs in Northern Mississippi, please visit www.bgcnms.org.
