Man United agreed £67m fee with club to sign Dembele

Manchester United are constantly linked with Ousmane Dembele, whose relationship with current club Barcelona has been torn apart in recent times.

The Red Devils have been looking for the France international for a long time and the latest reports indicate that they have even reached an agreement to bring in his services in 2020.

Transfer: Man Utd ready to accept £17m star signing before deadline – report

According to Sports (press image provided below), Man Utd agreed the deal with Barca to sign the player on a one-year loan in the 2020 summer transfer window and even agreed a fee worth £67m (80 million euros) to make the transfer permanent.

However, the famous Spanish news source mentioned that Dembele’s representative Moussa Sissoko rejected the deal, saying he doesn’t like the structure of the deal. Why? Because he wasn’t getting a decent commission.

It is reported that when the Catalan side signed the Blues playmaker in a deal worth €145m, his agent only received a 5% commission and the Camp Nou refused to pay a penny more.

So this time he demanded a massive renewal fee which infuriated the La Liga side and he will do the same when the player moves to a new club.

Dembele was a big hit in the German Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, but since moving to Spain he’s mostly spent time on the injury table. Sport claim that for the constant fitness issues, those around him have blamed Barcelona for their methods.

The World Cup-winning star could end up leaving before the winter transfer window closes. Will he finally end up at Man Utd? Only time will tell.
