Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a bid to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus this summer, with Tottenham and Arsenal also linked with a move.
The Argentine striker is firmly set to leave the club this summer when his current deal comes to an end after extension talks collapsed.
A verbal agreement was reportedly in place towards the end of 2021, only for talks to fall through when they returned to the negotiating table, and both player and club now insist his future will now lie elsewhere.
It will be a sad day to see him go, and it will be important that he does not join a league rival, with the Premier League heavily linked with his signature.
While Arsenal and Spurs are expected to be enthusiastic, with the Daily mail citing Corriere Dello Sport as a source, they may well struggle with the news that Newcastle are now ready to offer him a bumper deal to fend off their rivals in the bid for him to sign, although that would mean accepting no immediate League football champions and be part of a major reconstruction of which he would be at the center.
The 28-year-old could potentially swap the black-and-white from Italy for the same colors in England, and he may well be attracted to the prospect of having the team built around him in the north of England, while cashing in a pretty penny in the process.
I think he would be the perfect big signing for Newcastle, although I’m still not happy to accept him leaving Juve. He has been a great servant to us over the years, and it will be a sad day when we finally have to say goodbye to him.
