NEWCASTLE’S SUMMER GOES STRONG

From January until this summer, Newcastle have been pretty clear and upfront about how they will approach things in the transfer market.

Everyone knows they have money, but rather than spending money unnecessarily and pandering to teams adding a few extra pounds to their players, they are doing it the right way.

Whether it’s Manchester United asking for an inflated loan fee for Jesse Lingard in January at Stade de Reims trying to earn a few extra pounds for Ekitike, those at St James’ Park have a bar and they’re not going to cross it.

Sure, the Saudi-led club can throw money at their project in crazy ways, but they make sure everything is done in a fancy way because they won’t be taken for a ride and that’s a long term project. project for a reason.

So while some Newcastle fans would have been delighted to see what Ekitike could have done under their colours, at the end of the day there are still plenty of fish in the sea.
