Story of a scary hospital


The Midnight Club Teaser was released by Netflix, which is set to hit the streaming platform in October. Spooky season has arrived and spooky content has started to fall on our screen, to accompany us this month. This series is from the creators of The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Masscreated by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong, with Flanagan serving as showrunner and executive producer with Trevor Macy.

Based on the 1994 novel of the same name as well as other works by Christopher Pike, the series would have 10 episodes in total, with the first two episodes of the series directed by Flanagan, and other episodes of the season were directed by directors Axelle Carolyn, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour, Michael Fimognari, Morgan Beggs and Viet Nguyen.

The series’ official synopsis reads, “At a hospice for terminally ill teenagers, members of an exclusive club make a chilling pact: the first to die must send a sign from beyond the grave.” At a hospice for terminally ill young adults, eight patients gather every night at midnight to tell each other stories and search for signs of the supernatural beyond. They also make a pact that the next to die will give the group a sign from beyond.

The series cast includes Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, William Chris Sumpter, and Sauriyan Sapkota as the titular patients. Heather Langenkamp, ​​as the enigmatic doctor who runs the young adult hospice, Zach Gilford, Matt Biedel and Samantha Sloyan have recurring roles.

The teaser begins with a narration that reads: Here at Brightcliffe Hospice, we are the authors of our own stories. Brightcliffe provides a safe and warm atmosphere for our patients to enjoy their final chapter together. As the visuals show us a girl coming to the hospital and glimpses of other patients there.

But it seems there’s more to the mysterious hospital than just palliative care, as the dark shadows and creepy characters are shown onscreen. Looks like we could have more than a sign from beyond.
