The could be able new information is emerging on Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham Hotspur.
The France international is linked with a move out of North London this month.
Everyone knows that.
And everyone knows that Paris Saint-Germain was considered a serious proposition for the former Lyon midfielder until now.
More recently, Everton have reportedly entered the race to sign the underprivileged midfielder from Tottenham.
However, both of these outfits – and Roma, another in the mix – could be a disappointment.
According to Calciomercato in Italy, Valencia have reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign the 25-year-old.
The Italian publication reported that in the past ‘several days’, the Spanish side have reached an agreement with the Lilywhites to take the player to Los Che on a half-season loan initially.
The report adds that the Premier League side will continue to pay part of Ndombele’s £200,000 weekly salary.
Look, the closer we get to February 1, the wilder the transfer rumors will become.
However, it could potentially have legs.
A move to Paris Saint-Germain certainly made the most sense profile-wise, as you could see the misfit from Tottenham playing again under Mauricio Pochettino, with the Argentine signing him in 2019.
That being said, it’s clear that the negotiations between Tottenham and the Ligue 1 side haven’t gone so well.
And if Calciomercato is correct, then Valencia have passed their rivals and won the race to sign Ndombele.
It’s worth mentioning that the report only states that a deal has been reached with Spurs, not the player himself.
And with the 25-year-old being, well, a bit difficult at times, you could easily see him turned down that loan and awaiting a move to the French capital, but time will tell.
