Udinese manager Pierpaolo Marino has admitted the club have received ‘a significant offer’ for rumored Tottenham target Destiny Udogie and are negotiating the sale of the left-back.
Reports over the past few days have indicated that Udogie is set to be the seventh player to walk through the door at Hotspur Way this summer.
The evening norm claimed on Monday that the youngster is set to join a deal worth around £21million before spending the season on loan at the Serie A club.
fabrice romano already gave his ‘let’s go’ stamp of approval to the transfer yesterday.
According to Alasdair Gold (Youtube channel), the 19-year-old winger, who scored eight Serie A goals last season (transfer market), is considered by Spurs as a potential successor to Ivan Perisic a year or two later.
Marino has now admitted that the Serie A club are negotiating the sale of Udogie, but he refused to divulge too much information about the deal.
Asked about speculation linking the left-back with a move to Tottenham, the Udinese manager says TuttoMercatoWeb: “There is a negotiation in progress. But talking about it when there are still no formalities is very complicated.
“It’s good that there is a big offer for Udogie. But Udinese only sell their players at the right price and tend to keep them for two years. We will try not to deny these parameters.
