The Waterford Lions Club will hold its annual 4th of July Parade on Independence Day. The theme for this year’s parade is ‘In God We Trust’ and will feature creative floats, community members and a congregation of friends, families and neighbors from the Waterford area.
The children’s parade will take place at 10:30 a.m. on July 4. Those wishing to register can do so on parade day at 9:30 a.m. at Milwaukee and Main streets.
The main parade will begin at 11 a.m., just after the children’s parade. Parade participants should check in at 9.30am at 5th and Aber Drive in Waterford. The parade will begin on 7th and Main streets. It will then go west to Milwaukee St. and then north to Trailside School.
Waterford Lions Club Parade Awards
Parade participants will be judged and may wish for a cash prize! Cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place in several divisions, including:
- Best of Parade (one winner who best represents the theme) $250
- Commercial entrances
- Non-commercial entries
- Registration for open classes
- Automobile (trophy, no money)
- Tractor (trophy, no money)
