According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday after shooting a woman multiple times outside a night club in southwestern Harris County.

The 24-year-old woman who was shot was seriously injured and was in fair condition Saturday afternoon, Gonzalez said in a Tweet. Emmanuel House has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.

Gonzalez said House has an open warrant for aggravated assault on a family member and was armed with an AK rifle and a 30-round magazine on Saturday. He said officers made the arrest after an armed security guard “acted quickly” and detained House at the scene.

Deputies responded around 5:32 a.m. in the 13600 block of Bissonnet and found the woman with gunshot wounds, Gonzalez said earlier in the day. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
